Awit ng Talim

This poem was written as apart of an interstitial project between prose and poetry. It's the type of thing attempted by every cross-genre writer since Poe. Not a lot of them succeed, and those who pull it off (or, let's just say they get results acceptable on some level; for example, read Oz, Joaquin, Joyce) come up with ambiguous results. In this, my shadowed case, I ended up shedding the prose. No regrets. XOXO

EKSENA: Nagluluto ang Tatay kaya si Neneng ang pinasagot sa telepono.

NENENG - Tay, siya ho uli, yung babae. Hinahanap kayo.

TATAY - Ano daw kailangan?

NENENG - Closure daw po.

TATAY - Ay si Mama mo yan. Sabihin mo umuwi na at malapit nang maghain. Lalamig.

NENENG - E paano na ho yung closure?

TATAY - Sige na kamo! Ako na rin ang maghuhugas.
